Susan Trapp PhD

Research Scientist

Dr. Trapp received her doctoral degree from the University of Maryland and postdoctoral education at the Institute of Biological Chemistry where she focused on the molecular evolution and genomics of terpenoid natural products in fungi and plants. Her research areas are genomics, computational biology, biotechnology, and bioassay development.

Dr. Trapp has an entrepreneurial spirit, she has participated in and founded several bioscience start-ups within the bioinformatics, biofuels, medical device, and cannabis industries. She educates in and out of the classroom, from biology, fitness, to terpenes for the general and cannabis public – she has made several guest appearances on podcasts.
