About:

Dr. Gaines is a Naturopathic Physician and Registered Herbalist. She is the Chair of the Botanical Medicine Department and a supervising physician at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine Medical Center. Dr. Gaines developed a Naturopathic rotation at Sojourner Center, a domestic violence shelter for women and children from 2003-2007. She also developed a field study course in North Carolina bringing students each summer to the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding area to study native plants. She treats children and adults utilizing botanical medicine, nutrition and lifestyle counseling to make positive changes in patients’ health.
