Presented by Amy Whittington, NMD. Dr. Whittington graduated with honors from the University of Kansas in 1998. In 2003, she received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine after graduating first in her class from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine where she was trained in diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, homeopathy, botanicals, and acupuncture. Dr. Whittington is licensed in Arizona as a general practitioner. She completed a one-year residency in general practice and has been in private practice since. She has served as adjunct professor at Southwest College in Tempe, Arizona, teaching classes such as physical diagnosis, nutrition, and minor surgery. Dr. Whittington’s practice concentration is in endocrine, hormonal, and preventive medicine, at Alvea Spa in Trilogy at Vistancia in Peoria, Arizona. She is published monthly for BlueStar and Shea Homes. Memberships and affiliations include the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association. Dr. Whittington is the proud mother of two boys, Fletcher and Oliver.
